Kayla received her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University at Buffalo in 2013 and her JD from St. John’s University School of Law in 2016, where she received the pro bono service award.
Kayla began her career practicing criminal defense with Queens Defender’s, a public defender’s office in Queens, NY and thereafter worked in private practice after returning to Upstate, New York. Kayla joined the Cortland County Public Defender’s Office as an Assistant Public Defender in 2019.
Kayla is a member of the Cortland County Bar Association, the New York State Defender’s Association and the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
