[ARCHIVED] Special Highway Committee Meeting - Supplemental Agreement with NYS for McGraw Marathon Rd Bridge

A special Highway Committee Meeting will to be held to entertain a Resolution to authorize Supplemental Agreement No. 3 with New York State for McGraw Marathon Road Bridge Replacement.

    WHEREAS, the Project for the McGraw Marathon Road Bridge (BIN 3312050), Replacement Project P.I.N. 375654 (the project) is eligible for funding under Title 23 U.S. Code, as amended, that call for the apportionment of the costs of such program to be borne at the ratio of 95% Federal Funds and 5% non-federal funds, AND

    WHEREAS, the Cortland County Legislature approved the implementation, and funding in the first instance, 100% of the Federal funded eligible costs of a transportation Federal Aid project, and appropriating funds therefore by Resolution No. 8-19, AND

    WHEREAS, the New York State Department of Transportation is amending the previously adopted Schedule A by adding the Construction Phase PIN and increasing the funding for the said project, NOW THEREFORE BE IT

    RESOLVED, that the 2022 Cortland County Capital Budget be amended as follows:

Increase:

HH512244.44597.MMBR    Federal Revenue    $110,250.35      

HH512248.45031.MMBR    Local Share        $5,802.65        

HH51225.52800.MMBR    Construction            $116,053.00              

, AND BE IT FURTHER

    RESOLVED, that in the event the full Federal share costs of the project exceeds the amount appropriated, the Legislature of Cortland County shall convene as soon as possible to appropriate said excess amount immediately upon the notification by the NYSDOT thereof, AND BE IT FURTHER 

    RESOLVED, that the Chairman of the County Legislature of Cortland County be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute all necessary Agreements, certifications or reimbursement as approved to form by the County Attorney or designee on behalf of the County of Cortland in connection with the advancement or approval of the Project, AND BE IT FURTHER 

    RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this resolution be filed with the New York State Commissioner of Transportation by attaching it to any necessary Agreement in connection with the Project, AND BE IT FURTHER 

    RESOLVED, that the construction of the said project shall begin no later than twenty-four (24) months after award and the construction phase of the said project shall be completed within thirty (30) months, AND BE IT FURTHER

     RESOLVED, this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
