Buildings and Grounds

The Buildings and Grounds Department's mission is to provide a safe, clean, and attractive environment in and on all county-owned buildings and properties for County Staff and the public. This department is responsible for cleaning to renovation, grounds maintenance to snow removal, event setup, and small capitol improvements to name a few. With over 25 County owned properties and buildings including, Board of Elections, County Office Building, Department of Motor Vehicles, County Court House, Dwyer Memorial Park, Public Safety and Jail, Solid Waste, Highway Complex, and many others. Department office hours are From 7 am to 3:30 pm, located in B-25 in the County Office Building basement, 60 Central Ave, Cortland NY.
