Health Administration

Overview


The Department as a whole is involved in activities such as the Community Health Assessment, Communicable Disease Surveillance and Control, and Health Emergency Preparedness and Health Promotion Activities. As a Department of County Government, the Health Department is supervised by the County Legislature, reporting to the Legislative Health and Human Services Committee. The Chair of the Health and Human Services Committee serves on the Board of Health.
